Divorce Rates Lower Among Christians, Study Finds

People who practice a traditional religious faith are at a lower risk for divorce, according to the results of a study conducted by a sociologist at the University of Connecticut. Conservative Protestants who regularly attend services are 35 percent less likely to divorce compared to people who don’t have any religious affiliation. Couples who are attending church services together, reading the Bible regularly and practicing their faith are going to take their faith and their marriage vows seriously. Filing for divorce may not even be seen as a viable option for them when things get tough.
